That's What Friends Are For

When everything seems to be going our way
We seldom think things could change tomorrow
Because we don't realize life is like the weather
We have happy days and sadly days of sorrow.

When we are healthy we can't imagine losing it
We believe our good health will be there to stay
Throughout our lives; this thought is often wrong
Because diseases often takes good health away.

It's best smiling even when we have reasons to cry
Never worrying loved ones about problems we face
Because they might have problems worse than ours
Let's store our problems inside us in a secret place.

But if a friend or loved one asked us for assistance
Let them know we're there to do whatever we can
To help solve their problems and comfort them
Good friends have done this since friendship began.

That's what friends are for...
