He Lives In My Heart

Time hasn't changed the cabins appearance
Amazingly it looks the same as it did before
Unfortunately it hasn't been that way for me
Many dear ones I love aren't with me anymore.

I was just a boy when grandpa built his cabin
The times he and I spent the night here together
We found it difficult waiting for the sun to rise
Moments like those will stay with me forever.

Grandpa lives in Heaven now, but I feel him near
Especially on nights I spend in his cabin alone
In my mind he's saying, "Let's rise with the sun"
My eyes cannot see grandpa, but he's not gone.

He lives in my heart.
