For A Little While
The old church isn't used anymore
It's paint has almost faded away
But I can visualize it as beautiful
As it was in a too long ago day.
My family attended church services here
I recall how proud mother was back then
How happy she was when I was baptized
Moments I'll always hold deeply within.
Today I'm visiting the old church alone
But memories have taken over my mind
Telling me my mother is here today too
Someway today I've stepped back in time.
For a little while...
