It's Up To Us
What We Become

What good would it be spending your life
Wishing for things only real in dreams
When you know few dreams come true
Why wish for things unreachable for you?

Set your sight on goals you can reach
If you work hard results will soon appear
One by one pieces of the puzzle will fit into place
You'll be glad time on dreams you didn't waste.

It doesn't take fabulous wealth to gain respect
You are judged by the things you say and do
Your integrity and kindness means much
They show with reality you are in touch.

Our lives reminds me of a budding rose
In order for a rose to bare beautiful blooms
The rose bush requires tender loving care
Realistic goals reaps success for us anywhere.

It's up to us what we become....
