Because All Of Us
Need A Friend

Lately I am noticing some things seem to be
Surfacing in my mind most all the time
Thoughts of those I have met along my road
Are bringing forth memories of a special kind.

If I had not made a friend here and there
Makes me shudder realizing how miserable I would be
Loneliness would travel with me until my end
When I died no one would be there to mourn me.

If you are lonely come travel my road with me
We will talk about things of interest to us both
You will be helping me and I will be helping you
If we become friends that will count the most.

Because all of us need a friend......
