In My Heart

She Has

It's easy for me to remember

When my daughter was a little girl

Those precious moments we shared

Twirling her pretty hair in curls.

Sometimes our walks up and down our dock

While waiting for the sun to sink in a western sky

How could I ever forget her giggles and smiles

And her asking me a thousand why's.

Many years have silently crept by

Today my daughter has a daughter of her own

Those times my granddaughter visits me

Somehow I feel my little daughter has returned home.

In my heart she has....
