So Many Things We'll

Never See

Sometimes I wonder how it would feel

Living in a time everything passed slow

Back before we had airplanes and cars

When everyone enjoyed a silent picture show.

I can almost see an old steam engine train

Slowly passing by as nearby children wave

I bet the engineer almost always waved back

If I had been there those memories I would save.

It's true we can go places faster today

Sadly, sometimes we don't stop and smell the roses

So many beautiful things we will never see

I guess it's meant for times to change I suppose.
