Until That Moment
Is Gone

It is easy for me to recall
A little old country church
I attended with Mom and Dad
Back when I was a young lad.

It makes me sad
When I realize I will never
See Mom and Dad again
Holding hands each time
They walked into our church.

I guess when we are young
We are too busy imagining
What our own futures hold
To fully understand what
We have at the moment,

Until that moment is gone....
