And I Believe I Will

Pictures in my photo album are beginning to fade
But the memories they recall will never fade in my mind
When I close my eyes the pictures take me on a journey
Backwards through the years to a joyful happy time.

I can see myself sitting on my favorite creek bank
Not far from grandpa's newly painted red barn
Next to me, like always, sits my faithful dog
Watching me trying to untangle my fishing yarn.

When I open my eyes and return to reality
I find myself wiping sad tears from each eye
Wondering what fate each tomorrow has in store
Hoping each one of them I will be able to comply.

And I believe I will.....
