Within These

Moments

While standing alone

Listening to the sound

Of ocean waves

Pounding against

A yielding shoreline

I could feel

Cool damp kisses

On my face

And in my mouth

A salty taste.

Within these moments

I began to realize

Everything we possess

Is a gift from God

That it doesn't

Matter whether

We're young or old

Rich or poor

If we believe in him

And give him our trust

He'll be there.
