What Did I Do That Was So Wrong

You locked me out of your heart

Without a single word to me

What did I do that was so wrong

Causing you to do this to me?

I felt good coming home

Until I saw you weren't alone

Why did you hurt me this way

When you knew I was coming home?

If you had stopped loving me

Why did you keep that a secret

Last night when we talked on the phone

Had you told me the truth then

I wouldn't have come back home.

Now that I know where we stand

I'm leaving for parts unknown

I'll never again knock on your door

And I'll change the lock on my heart

So your key won't fit it anymore.
