My Granddaughter

The years have

Slipped by too fast

Today it's hard for me to realize

How many yesterdays

Have crept by

Since my granddaughter

Was a little girl

And those special times

She asked me to play.

Our special moments together

Gave me treasured memories

That will last and last

Her smiles tells me

I'm included in

Cherished memories

Of her past.

I dedicate this poem with love

To: My Granddaughter
