Too Few Moments

I watched her as she

Combed her gray hair,

Remembering the days

Darkness was there.

Looking at her

Reflection in the mirror

I saw that beautiful smile

That's never faded__

The smile that's made

My life worthwhile.

Time moves swiftly

Too few moments

Are left to be

But I know my

Ultimate gift in life

Has been her

Love for me.

The moment she

Turned from her

Mirror towards me

I took her in my arms

And we kissed__

In that moment

Both of us knew

One of us

Without the other

Would be missed.
