Then One Sad Day

The old man sits alone on the ocean shore

His weather beaten face has lost its' smile

The same face that once was so happy and gay

Has been drawn in pain for a long while.

When his wife was ill he was always there

Helping her any way he possibly could

Until one sad day was her last day on earth_

How the old man feels is easily understood.

The length of our lives offers no guarantees

Being kind to those who lost someone dear

Floods our hearts with a warmth second to none

Letting us know Heavenly Father is very near.
