And I Realized

A warm summer sun sends rays of light

Earthward accompanied by a cool breeze

Seemingly witnessing my wife's pretty face

Lighting up my heart with her smiles.

Squeezing her soft hand while watching

Two ducks swimming together in a pond

I stand wondering is their relationship

The same as two human beings in love.

Casting my eyes upward a cloud drifts

Towards the sun casting a dark blanket

As it does the skies suddenly darken

Soon the stubborn sunlight reappears.

And I realized:

During the course of our earthly lives

Moments of despair will often appear

But family love can replace darkness

With light and everlasting love.
